City of Hamilton large commercial and industrial electric customers have the opportunity to participate in demand response programs. City Council approved legislation in 2015 authorizing the City to partner with American Municipal Power (AMP) and CPower (a qualified Curtailment Service Provider) to offer Demand Response and Coincident Peak (CP) Programs to eligible electric customers. These programs offer financial incentives to customers that can voluntarily curtail electric usage and demand during peak electric periods. Customers can help ensure regional electric grid reliability while receiving a financial benefit. Participation in these programs is voluntary and is being offered on a "first come first served" basis.
