Not to mention challenging golf courses, an airfield devoted to radio-controlled planes, the oldest and largest motocross (BMX) track in the State and all the scenic and sports-related advantages of life along a riverfront. ![]() With more than 150 acres of nature beauty, hikers and nature-lovers can discover peaceful hiking and miles of paved pathways on the scenic banks of the Great Miami River for walking, biking or in-line skating. Hamilton’s Parks and Recreation Department maintains nearly 1,400 acres of land. Need space for meeting, wedding reception or picnic? Hamilton’s 40 recreational facilities include 25 neighborhoods parks. With four major picnic areas, each park is equipped with picnic tables, shelters, grills, restrooms, playground equipment and parking facilities. You may also want to consider the beautifully restored Michael J. Colligan Lodge for organizational meetings and social events or the lower level of the Crawford Home to host small organizational meetings, family gatherings and small parties.
