Health Clinic

The City of Hamilton Health Clinic, located at 647 East Avenue, provides childhood vaccines free of charge every Thursday and Friday from 1:00-4:00. No appointment is needed.

The Department also provides free childhood vaccines on a walk-in basis at the following locations:
WIC Office, 210 S. 2nd Street - Tuesday from 1:00-4:00
West YMCA, 1307 NW Washington Blvd.- Fridays from 1:00-4:00

Influenza vaccines are available at these clinic sessions and community sessions are scheduled each fall. Call 785-7080 in the fall for the locations and times.

The City pays the Ernst J. Bever Community Health Center to provide sexually transmitted disease diagnosis and treatment. The Center provides appointments on Fridays. Fees are on a sliding scale according to patient income but no one is denied service due to inability to pay. Call 892-1888 for an appointment and state that you want seen for sexually transmitted disease diagnosis and/or treatment.
 

Communicable Disease Control
Nurses assist with researching infectious diseases and work to help families implement control measures to prevent the spread.

Public Health Nursing Home Visits
Public Health Nurses are available to visit homes, as needed, to assess health problems and provide health teaching or make referrals.

Nurses often visit the following:

Patients who need instructions or help in managing a chronic disease.

Families who have lost babies to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Elderly people who are unable to care for themselves.

Children with medical conditions in the Bureau for Children with Handicaps Program.
