The following information is required for any development that occurs
within a designated flood hazard area. Development means any man-made
change to improved or unimproved real estate including but not limited to
the construction, additions and alterations of buildings, structures or
utilities and related facilities, mining, dredging, excavating, filling,
grading and paving.
Information Required:
- Development Permit
application.
- Two copies of the plans shall be submitted for review and approval
consisting of the following:

Site topographic plans drawn to scale
showing the nature,location, dimensions and
elevations of the area in question;existing or proposed
structures, fill, storage of materials,drainage facilities, and the
location of the above.
- The following information is also required:
- Elevation and relation to the mean sea
level of the lowest floor, including basement, of all proposed
structures located in special flood hazard areas where base flood
elevation data are utilized.
- Elevation in relation to mean sea level to
which any proposed structure will be flood proofed in accordance with
the National Flood Insurance Protection (NFIP) regulations where base
flood elevation data are utilized.
- Certification by a registered professional
engineer or architect that the flood proofing methods for any
non-residential structure meeting the flood proofing criteria in the NFIP regulations where base flood elevation data are utilized.
- Description of the extent to which any
water course will be altered or relocated as a result of the proposed
development and certification by a registered professional engineer that
the flood carrying capacity of the water course will not be diminished.
