Fire Protection Systems Permit
Three copies of the plans and specifications are required with the
application.
The permit fee for fire suppression systems using water, carbon
dioxide, CO2, dry or wet chemical and/or foam extinguishing agents is as
follows:
- Outside fire line work: $150.00 plus fee for interior work.
- For interior work, including new systems,
alterations/additions and limited area systems using water:
- 1 to 100 heads $150.00 plus $2.00 per head
- 101 to 400 heads $350.00 plus $1.00 per head for each
head over 100
- Over 400 heads $650.00 plus $0.75 per head for each head
over 400.
- For gravity or pressure tanks the fee is based on the
estimated cost in accordance with Section 107.06 hereof.
- Fire pumps: $20.00 per 100-gallons per minute capacity or
fraction thereof.
- Standpipes, house or Fire Department hose system: $30.00
per story per standpipe.
- For systems employing Halon, CO2, carbon dioxide or other
chemical extinguishing agents, the fee is based on the estimated cost,
plus a base fee of $100.00.
- The permit fee for fire protective signaling systems, both
manual and automatic alarm systems, is based on the estimated cost, plus
a base fee of $150.00. Additional inspection fees for duct smoke
detector tests.
