The Hamilton Police Department offers training for citizens of Ohio that qualifies them to apply for a permit to carry a concealed weapon through the state. Ohio law requires that citizens over the age of 21 attend ten hours of classroom training, and two hours of live fire range training to apply for a permit. The Hamilton Police Department offers this training monthly at the Hamilton Police Department at 331 South Front Street, Hamilton, Ohio, 45011. The cost of the training is $65 per person. Weapons are available for use by those attending the class. Additionally, all citizens who attend the class will receive a free gunlock in cooperation with Project Child Safe.
