City of Hamilton, Ohio - Police Department Training Section

The Training Section of the department continues to strive to provide the best possible, most time-appropriate training to our officers. It is the responsibility of the Training Section to provide all in-house training to our officers, as well as research, evaluate, and recommend all external training that officers request, or are required to attend.

The Training Section must ensure that:

New officers receive training that is in compliance with the Ohio Peace Officers Training Commission basic training curriculum;
Probationary officers are provided a high quality, effective post academy field training program;
Semi-annual in-service training is provided to Hamilton officers which deals with mandated annual topics as well as current issue topics that allows our officers to provide current and professional service;
