Since 1890 the City of Hamilton has provided customer-owned utility
service to its residents. Today, we are the largest municipal utility in
the State of Ohio.
The City of Hamilton owns and operations four utility systems to serve
customers within the greater Hamilton area. The Gas and Water Department
is responsible for the maintenance of efficient gas and water services to
customers. The Electric Department is responsible for the operation,
maintenance and construction of the City of Hamilton’s electric generation
and transmission systems. The Wastewater Treatment plant treats an average
of 20 million gallons of wastewater each day. |
