Carry Concealed Weapons

The Hamilton Police Department offers training for citizens of Ohio that qualifies them to apply for a permit to carry a concealed weapon through the state. Ohio law requires that citizens over the age of 21 attend ten hours of classroom training and two hours of live fire range training, to apply for a permit. The Hamilton Police Department offers this training monthly at the Hamilton Police Department at 331 South Front Street, Hamilton, Ohio, 45011.

    o Carrying Concealed Weapon Training - $95.00 
    Classes start on April 22nd, May 27th, June 24th, July 29th, August 26th, September 23rd, October 28th and November 18th.  

    o Women’s Self Defense Training (P.R.O.T.E.C.T.) -  $60.00- Next class is June 2nd.

    o HPD SHOOTING ACADEMY - $250.00 
    2014 classes start on June 5th, August 7th, September 4th, October 2nd and November 13th. The course lasts five weeks and meets on Thursday's from 6 to 8 p.m.The HPD Shooting Academy covers a variety of shooting positions and scenarios. This class fulfills renewal requirements. 

    Ammunition is included in the cost and loaner guns are available for those who do not have a weapon.
