The Hamilton Police Department consists of 105 full-time sworn men and women, 24 civilian personnel, and 12 Corrections Officers.The Hamilton Police Department is divided into two bureaus with different and distinct reponsibilities.
Operations Bureau: Captain Craig Bucheit
The Operations Bureau Captain responsible is responsible for the day to day operations of the Patrol Division, Traffic Division and the Detective Division. In addition to these duties, the Operations Bureau Captain oversees the coordination of the internal affairs function and the deployment of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team.

The Administrative Bureau Commander exercises authority over the Services Division, which includes the Central Records, Communications, Court Services and Training Sections. The Administrative Captain ensures that all department property is accounted for and works properly.
