The City of Hamilton has reinstated the POTHOLE HOTLINE for the next few months to provide faster identification of problematic potholes on City streets. Please call (513) 785-7585 any time day or night to provide location of pothole and whether it’s causing a traffic problem. In addition, you may also use the City’s Online 311 Citizen Request Center at the website address: http://crm.hamilton-city.org/ to inform us about a pothole. We sincerely appreciate your assistance in reporting potholes so that they can be repaired quickly.

Street Closures for Operation Pumpkin - Beginning Thursday October 2nd at 8pm, High Street will be closed from Martin Luther King Blvd to Front Street. 2nd and 3rd Streets will be closed from Court to Market Streets. Traffic detours will be posted. Market Street, Dayton Street, Court Street and other east / west routes will be open for travel. All roadways will be reopened by Monday morning on October 6, 2014.

Greenwood Avenue from Neal Boulevard to Campbell Drive will be closed to through traffic on a block by block basis beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014. After 5:00 p.m. each night, the road will be opened to traffic and then closed each morning at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Road closure is needed for installation of new gas and water services. "No Parking" signs and detours will be posted.

East High Gateway Updates 
This week underground utility work will continue and curb reconstruction along the westbound side of High Street is underway. The westbound right lane between SR 4 and 6th Street will continue to have lane restrictions with periodic double lane shifts. High Street will be subject to night time lane restrictions that could restrict traffic to as few as one flag controlled lane.

High Street between 6th Street and 8th Street will be subject to lane closures from 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night beginning Monday, September 22, 2014 until Friday, September 26, 2014 at 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. The lane closures are needed for installation of the underground electric conduit. The night time construction will require High Street to be reduced to one lane with flagging operation. Significant delays are expected. Alternate routes via Heaton Street, Dayton Street and Maple Avenue are strongly encouraged.

The East High Street Gateway Streetscape project is currently on schedule. Lane closures will be in effect throughout the next 11 months. A minimum of one lane in each direction will be maintained throughout the day. Some night time construction will require High Street to be reduced to one lane with flagging operation. Significant delays are expected. Alternate routes via Heaton Street, Dayton Street and Maple Avenue are strongly encouraged.

Ludlow Street between Third Street and Second Street - will be closed to through traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, 2014 until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014, weather permitting. Detours will be posted.

Street Closure: Helen Avenue from Neal Boulevard to Campbell Drive  will be closed to through traffic on a block by block basis beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2014. After 5:00 p.m. each night, the road will be opened to traffic and then closed each morning at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Road closure is needed for installation of new gas and water services. "No Parking" signs and detours will be posted. 

Painting Pavement Markings - The City of Hamilton Traffic Sign Shop will be painting yellow centerline and white edgeline pavement markings on streets beginning Monday, June 9 through Friday, October 31. Please obey all warning signs and traffic control devices and do not cross freshly painted lines.
