The City of Hamilton has reinstated the POTHOLE HOTLINE for the next few months to provide faster identification of problematic potholes on City streets. Please call (513) 785-7585 any time day or night to provide location of pothole and whether it’s causing a traffic problem. In addition, you may also use the City’s Online 311 Citizen Request Center at the website address: http://crm.hamilton-city.org/ to inform us about a pothole. We sincerely appreciate your assistance in reporting potholes so that they can be repaired quickly.

Street Closure: Maple Avenue CSX Crossing - CSX Railroad Crossing at Maple Avenue East of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevardwill be closed to through traffic beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 and ending at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014. Closure is necessary for CSX Transportation to replace a rail. Detours will be posted.

Street Closure: 10th Street  - 10th Street from High Street to Campbell Avenue will be closed to through traffic from 7:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014, weather permitting. The closure is necessary for the installation of the underground electric conduit. Detours will be posted.

Street Closure - Helen Avenue from Neal Boulevard to Campbell Drive will be closed to through traffic on a block-by-block basis beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014 until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2014. After 5:00 p.m. each night, the road will be opened to traffic and then closed each morning at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Road closure is needed for installation of new gas and water services. "No Parking" signs and detours will be posted.

Lane Closures - High Street between Erie Boulevard (S.R. 4) and 10th Street will be subject to right lane closure for westbound traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 until 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2014, weather permitting. Contractor will be installing electric conduit below ground and removing and constructing concrete curb, sidewalk and streetscape items. Use alternate routes as much as possible.

The East High Street Gateway Streetscape project is currently on schedule. Lane closures will be in effect throughout the next 12 months. A minimum of one lane in each direction will be maintained throughout the day. Some night time construction will require High Street to be reduced to one lane with flagging operation. Significant delays are expected. Alternate routes via Heaton Street, Dayton Street and Maple Avenue are strongly encouraged.

Lane Closures on Symmes Road between N. Gilmore Road and Bypass S.R. 4 and Street Closure of Bilstein Boulevard at Intersection with Symmes Road - Starting at 8:00 am on Monday, July 7, Symmes Road will be reconstructed and paved from North Gilmore Road to east of Enterprise Drive. As part of the reconstruction, Symmes Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the entire construction period which is expected to be approximately 45 days, weather permitting. During this same time, Bilstein Boulevard will be closed at the intersection with Symmes Road. Bilstein Boulevard will need to be accessed using Port Union Road or Gilmore Road. Detours will be posted.

Painting Pavement Markings - The City of Hamilton Traffic Sign Shop will be painting yellow centerline and white edgeline pavement markings on streets beginning Monday, June 9 through Friday, October 31. Please obey all warning signs and traffic control devices and do not cross freshly painted lines.
