Feb. 14, 2011 – The Hamilton Trash Transfer Station temporarily closed today for maintenance and will remain closed for seven to 10 days.
The transfer station, located on U.S. 127 on the north side of town, accepts municipal solid waste and construction demolition debris. Items dropped off at the site are loaded into a tractor trailer and transported to Rumpke’s Sanitary Landfill in Colerain Township for disposal.
During the temporary closure, transfer station customers can take their garbage directly to Rumpke Sanitary Landfill located at 3800 Struble Rd. in Colerain Township. Rumpke’s landfill is open to the public Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon.
