The City of Hamilton provides its utility customers with a number of convenient ways to pay their utility bill. Payments can be made through the following methods:


Pay online with the City’s 24 hour-a-day UtilityPay system. Payments can be made using VISA, MasterCard or Discover card, or as a direct debit from the customer’s checking or savings account. Enjoy convenient features including: going paperless, saving time with AutoPay and Pay by Text, in which you can get text message reminders and have the option to pay through text message. Navigate to the UtilityPay page here.


Customers can make payments by mail using the mailing envelope provided with the customer’s utility bill. Payments should be addressed to:

Note: Please allow a minimum of 4 business days to avoid incurring any late payment penalties. 

By Phone

Customers can pay by phone using credit card or bank account information by calling 1-844-813-4734 24 hours a day.  Customers will be need their account number found in the upper right hand corner or lower left hand corner of your utility bill.

In Person

Cashiers are available to receive and process payments Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST) on the 1st floor of the Hamilton Municipal Building located at 345 High Street.

Night Depository

A night depository box located at the curb on the Court Street side of the Hamilton Municipal Building is available for accepting utility payments day or night. The deposits are collected each business day morning and credited to that day’s accounts.

Banks/Credit Unions

Many banks and credit unions offer bill payment options to their customers at little or no cost. Check with your financial institution for details.
