Storm Water Rates - while the Storm Water Management System is, organizationally, a Division of the Department of Public Works and not part of the City's Utility Systems, billing for storm water management is performed through the City's utility billing infrastructure.
Note: As a municipal utility, the City of Hamilton is a nonprofit organization and therefore does not generate profits for stockholders. All cost savings and cost increases are passed directly to its customers. The City reviews utility rates, at a minimum, on a semi-annual basis, making necessary and appropriate changes to individual utility rates and rate structures.
These changes reflect increases and decreases in fuel costs and other cost factors impacting the various utility systems, as well as Federal and State laws that impact the cost of utility service.
